What's in a name?

Bogart's Daddy Incorporated was born in 1975 as a small production company to handle side projects while the company's principle (me) was on staff at CBS News. Then it was still the Edward R Murrow era and fun to be @ CBS. But that's another story. Back to the company name and the year 1972.

I was living in a small apartment @ 217 E 83rd St. in Manhattan. It was a five room, five floor walkup, rent controlled @ $68.50 a month. This was great 'cause that's about what I was earning. The building was inhabited by hippies and senior citizens. I had just gotten my first Bouvier puppy and my first wife, Carol. The two of us were sitting on the front stoop trying to name this bundle of fur that we had picked up a couple of days before from a backyard breeder in a ritzy part of New Jersey. I kept looking @ him and suddenly it came to me. Bogart! I cried out to my startled bride and we both smiled because that was it.
