True Grit Says Thank You
Tucker (Denmars True Grit v. Ironwood) is truly a dog by committee. So many people have contributed to his and our success that it is nearly impossible to thank all of them. We have been extremely fortunate in our journey to have made so many very good friends and acquaintances, and even more fortunate to have met so many people who were willing to share their knowledge and time with us. Thanks to Dennis and Marie Cato for breeding and entrusting us with Tucker. He is the dog we wanted --- devoted companion, physically sound, intelligent, protective, stable, humorous, all too charming and some say "not bad to look at". Thank you again for this very Special dog. Special Thanks to Susie Donnelly for handling and grooming Tucker so expertly and quickly to his Championship (two weeks was not long enough to work with you!) as well as supporting us through the puppy months and Louise McCann for also handling Tucker so expertly (sometimes with only a few minutes notice), being a constant source of help, support and information as well as giving us back - to - back points when we needed the encouragement most. A special thanks from Marsha to Gary Wood for handling Tucker at twelve months old to his first points a 3 - point major (thank you Judge Patrick Donniere). Thanks to Larry Fenner for handling Tucker on the first leg of his International Championship (and for the Group III later that day, all in his first week of International Champion Show eligibility at 18 months). Thanks to all the people who contributed to our education in the art of bouvier grooming including Judy Higgins Kasper, Susie Donnelly, Louise McCann, Terry Burien-Creel, Bergit Coady, Larry Fenner, Gabriel and Ivonne Rangel and Sue Vroom. We still need help. No thanks would be complete without a nod to our support group who were unfailing in their patience with our questions, informative in every way imaginable and generous of both time and spirit. Thank you Judy and Larry Kasper, Auntie Anne Bontems, (for trucking to the shows), Phil and Ada Brann (for their appreciated cheers), Rick, Reba, Susie and Kendall Donnelly, Dave and Joan Galbraith, Louise McCann, Bernice Rosenberg, Linda Stern, Scott Thompson, Susan and Corky Vroom, Marcha Zusman and a special thanks to our fellow handling class regulars---Sheila Hoffman (you were his first fan and supporter) Melissa Holst (thanks for all of the pointers), Mary Blovett, Christine and Dwayne Bunch (our fellow bouvier showring newcomers), Amanda Giardino, Lynette Hirsch, and Tammi Vasquez. Judy Higgins Kasper must receive special thanks for the amount of time and knowledge she imparted to us. Not only did she take the time to teach Bouvier Grooming 101 and 102, but also Bouvier History, Bouvier Anatomy and Bouvier Psychology as well as acting as therapist and disciplinarian at times. We can never repay you for the knowledge and time you have shared with us. Thank you so much for sharing your Bouvier wisdom, experiences and grooming tools with us. Thank You All Very Much!
