BOUDI'S BIG ADVENTURE

A few days after we brought Boudi home as a puppy we took him and our older Bouv Bea to the beach.  Bea took off toward the water at a dead run with Boudi in hot pursuit.   Bea waded in up to her belly.  Boudi arrived seconds later.  Looking like the classic cartoon character who overshoots the cliff, Boudi appeared to take a few running steps on top of the water, stopped with a surprised look on his face when he realized this was not sand under his toes and dropped into the water.  Then with great thrashing our soggy little puppy made it back to shore and gave a good shake.

Since that day Boudi has become a proficient swimmer. Unlike Bea who insists on keeping all four paws on the bottom, Boudi takes delight in retrieving sticks that we throw into the water, the bigger the stick the better!
