Ace's background: Ace was brought into the vet's office by his owner who requested he be put down because he had become hard of hearing & had a limp. The vet tech was very familiar with this dog & thought it was a crime to put down such a fine Bouvier. She intervened & with the owners permission got him to us. He really is a wonderful soul. Very people oriented. Fellow Befriender's member Liz has been fostering him for about a month. He is staying the weekend with my sister while Liz is out of town, & I can tell you he follows her everywhere & gets along very well with her 9 year old rescue girl (also Bouvier). We have had him to our vet who has given him a clean bill of health. I don't think he is totally deaf but he is very astute & by clapping your hands or patting your thigh he perks his head right in your direction & comes, The limp is probably due to some arthritic changes. He is crate trained & housebroken. Although due to all the stress in his life & home changes he may have an initial accident, but both Liz & my sister (and I) have found him to be very loving.
