Netiquette - An important guide to online courtesies & other useful information.
BouvLovers is an open, moderated, gen'l discussion email list for all things Bouvier. It is comprised of new & experienced Bouvier owners, trainers & breeders. Currently it is very active & has about 225 members.
BouvTrain is a moderated list that focuses on Bouvier training issues. Generally very supportive people. Ask a training question & you will get some very educated answers from experienced Bouvier trainers.
nawba is a moderated list for those interested in working Bouviers. Ex: herding, agility, schutzhund, ring sport. NAWBA is the North American Working Bouvier Association. They also have a website @ http://www.nawba.net & a mentoring program for newbies in all sports of interest to a working Bouvier owner.
SportBouvs is a list is focused on Bouvier enthusiasts interested in the protection sports. It is a moderated list with less than 100 members. Currently it is not very active
Yahoo! Bouvier mail list is also gen'l conversation about Bouviers. It is now moderated by Jim Engel. As I resigned from that list, I can't characterize it's personality. At one time, there was a good international contingent & some knowledgeable Bouvier aficionados amongst it's members however it was frequently fractious & a relatively few members participated on a regular basis. However, I don't know what its like now.
There are a few other minor groups including George Grippo's "Bouvier Social Club", a tiny herding only list & the exclusive Jim Engel group on Yahoo!
U.S. Clubs & Organizations is a page of links to U.S. club sites & email links
Int'l Bouviers is a page of links to Bouv Lovers, Clubs, breeders around the world
Bouvier Rescue Organizations - U.S. & Canadian
icq (I seek You) allows live chats directly on the internet @ any time between individuals who share the same interests
|
mIRC
is better for chat groups, i.e. people who come together on a special
server @ a specific time to chat. There are a couple of
Bouvier groups that are currently active. If you already have the mIRC program on your system, #bouvchat can be found on the Sand Net server. |
Bouv Ring is comprised of Bouvier web pages linked to each other. You can jump from one Bouvier website to another all over the world.
