I know you surfed here because you are interested in researching Bouvier des Flanders breeders & there is a list of Bouvier breeders on this page but please read on.

I know you want to buy a puppy. I know puppies are precious, that they smell delicious & are entertaining, fuzzy little bundles just waiting to be trained to your specifications. I know all this but I urge you to consider adopting a Bouvier.

These are Bouviers that have been abandoned for one reason or another through no fault of their own, Bouviers who deserve a second chance at living a full life with a loving, responsible family like yours.

I have an adopted Bouv; her name is Sabrina. She is deaf. She came to me as an un-socialized two year old, barking more than she should, terribly insecure, the runt of her litter, spayed too early in life for her bone structure to fully develop, always dripping from a dirty beard, hating to be groomed, but one of the sweetest, most loyal Bouviers I have ever known. I'm forever indebted to the American Bouvier Rescue League for arranging her adoption into my home.
