AMAZING BUT TRUE
...a fowarded Dog Story

A woman driving down her street watched in horror as another car hit *her*dog as she approached her driveway. She saw the car speed off, and the dog start running. She panicked and went looking up and down every street for her dog. When she couldn't find the dog, she went home to see if the dog had circled and come home on her own.

When the woman entered her house, the phone was ringing, and upon answering
it, the receptionist at the woman's vet office told her that her dog had
pushed his way into the waiting room, took a seat on one of the couches and
waited for someone to come and take care of him.

The vet's office was about 7 blocks away, and was well known by all who
worked there. When the woman arrived, he was being treated, and when
through, she took the dog home, who was in fairly good condition with only
bruises and contusions.

I would say this is a dog who knew what he needed and where to go find it.
My friend said she thinks this happened in Illinois, but was not sure.
This is quite a story, and a true one. This just goes to show how smart
our dogs really are, and how little we know of what might go through a
dog's mind when being injured. This dog obviously knew exactly where to go
to get help.
