Tankersly as Best Man
A Rescue Story

Webmaster's Note: I received two emails from Mary which I've combined below (I hope she doesn't mind) about her Bouvier, tank. It's such a wonderful little story, I'm sure she doesn't mind sharing it with all of you.

You may or may not remember, Tank. He's a big time success story and appears on your site of happily adopted Bouviers.

I thought you'd like to see what the Tanker has been up to lately, so I'm forwarding this photo of our "Best Dog" from our wedding, September 29th.

The judge who married us said he wished he had more dogs involved in weddings after having his first experience with our Tanker-buddy. I think so, too! No we're officially one big happy family thanks to you, Tammy Upton and Justice Kolb!

[...] Tank was so handsome in his bowtie at the wedding, and an absolute gentleman! Quite a change from the timid Bouvie we adopted two years ago! He enjoyed being the center of attention with all the guests, and only got nervous when "Daddy" saw "Mommy" coming down the aisle and started to cry.

I can't believe what an incredible dog Tank is. In late October, our 19 year old Siamese, Ness, became ill for the first and last time in his long kitt-life. Tank came in to see him in his kitty-bed several times a day to wash his face and nudge him. He would gently lift Ness's head with his nose and snuffle as if to say, "Come on, little buddy...you can make it."
It was touching, sweet and sad, particularly when we had to let poor ole Ness go on October 25th.

I have never known a more sensitive, loving and gentle creature as our dog, Tankersly, and I can never thank the ABRL enough for bringing him into our lives.
